Hi, I'm Jose, a fullstack developer from Lima, Peru. I've been building web apps for a little over ten years. Along the way I ended up handling the infrastructure too, so I'm usually the one setting up the servers, the deploy pipeline and the monitoring, not just writing the app.
I like working on products where I get to touch everything, from the first sketch of a screen to the box it runs on. And I still get a kick out of picking up a new tool and shipping something with it.
Most buildings in Lima run on a WhatsApp group, a spreadsheet and a notebook at reception. Wasiy puts all of that in one place: residents and units, visitors, packages, amenity bookings, announcements and the building's money, plus a separate portal where residents can check their own account and book things without messaging anyone. I designed it, built it and run it.
Servers, deploys, monitoring, backups and security. The part that has to keep working at 3am.

Good software is the whole system: the interface, the code behind it, and the infrastructure that keeps it running.
I'm a fullstack developer who ended up doing the DevOps too. I build web apps front to back, and I also set up and look after the infrastructure they run on: deploys, servers, monitoring, and the security around all of it.
I try to keep learning. Tools change fast, and I'd rather understand what's new than defend what I already know. I do my best work on small teams solving real problems, where the result is something people actually use.

01End to end. From idea to production, without handoffs.
02Backups and security from day one, not after the first incident.
